Producer KP Chowdary, also known as Sunkara Krishna Prasad Chowdary or NK Choudhary, was found dead in Goa, with reports indicating that his death has been ruled a suicide. He was notably the producer of the hit film Kabali, starring Rajinikanth.

Chowdary’s body was discovered at his rented home in Siolim, North Goa. According to reports from IANS, he was found hanging and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The Anjuna police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and have filed an ADR (Accidental Death Report) in the case.
Originally from Khammam district in Telangana, Chowdary faced numerous challenges in recent years. In 2023, he was arrested in a high-profile drug case that implicated several notable figures from Tollywood and Kollywood. This incident severely impacted his professional life, leading to financial struggles and increased pressure from moneylenders.
After relocating to Goa, he opened the OHM pub, which also came under scrutiny for drug-related activities. Reports suggest that he was involved in drug procurement and distribution, particularly to celebrities.
Beyond Kabali, Chowdary distributed several successful Telugu films, including Gabbar Singh, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and Arjun Suravaram. However, his involvement in the drug trade marked a significant downturn in his career.
